Twelve women cared for in Rwanda

Our team just came back from a mission to Rwanda, where they worked for 10 days at the Ruhengeri Hospital. Twenty four women received fistula repair surgery, which will allow them to regain their smile, and return to their life in their community. 

We continue our work to train local doctors for these types of surgeries. Two residents from Kigali’s gynecology program joined our team this year. They will pursue their training with us until the end of their studies, and it is our hope that they will become the first local specialists in the repair of complex obstetric fistulae.
