The MMS Foundation has received no government subsidies to date, and all the missions are carried out thanks to the generosity of donors. Their donations have allowed us to carry out seven missions in Burkina Faso since November 2011, over the course of which we have operated on more than 80 women with fistula.

A total of 12 nurses, 2 anesthesiologists, 4 surgeons and 6 project coordinators have volunteered ten days of their time on missions.

Medical supplies, equipment and medications for these missions have been graciously donated by 3M Canada, AMD Ritmed, Bard, Cardinal Health, CHS Canadian Hospital Specialities Ltd., Conmed, Covidien, Red Leaf Medical, Medline, SCA Americas, Steris, Accord Health.

The Montreal Jewish General Hospitaland the Institut de Cardiologie have provided us with medical products at hospital prices. Other firms such as U-Haul of Eastern Quebec, Café Agga, Ove, Voyage Idéal, have also made generous contributions to our Foundation.

Last, but not least, more than 200 friends and family members have attended our fundraising events and helped us raise the money necessary to finance our missions, the cost of which is constantly on the rise due to the increasing price of airfare.
